Parents and Child Therapists do not have a digital platform for collaboration, resources, and health tracking currently. Children diagnosed with a behavioral or emotional disorder continue to rise post-pandemic along with desirability for Telehealth communication. However, often child therapists are left out of the solutions from the tech industry compared to other clinicians.That's where Moody comes in.

Moody is a concept tool developed for my Senior Thesis at MICA. During a two month sprint I managed the project to include user research, market and competitor analysis, wireframes, information architecture, prototypes in figma, and two rounds of usability testing of different features.

Our users tested got to further interact with moodcast, a feature that helps to better understand what patterns of emotional distress your child is experiencing.

Essentially as the games become harder, frustration and heart rate will rise, and that’s when Moody makes calming down a part of the game! With a few deep breaths and other techniques, your child learns how to recognize and regulate their emotions. Moody helps the child and parent learn about emotional regulation.
